The world around you is becoming somehow less real. The edges of your consciousness have begun to fray.
So, this is how it ends, you tell yourself. However, you feel no bitterness or disappointment. You only feel your heart beating, faintly, and even that is growing fainter still.
You can't seem to move anymore, but it doesn't alarm you. You can no longer feel your heart, but that doesn't alarm you either. As you exhale for the last time, you bid a final farewell to yourself and the world. Your eyes steadily lose focus, and the landscape before you gives way to blackness.
So, this is how it ends.
Suddenly, you're awake.
You're in quite a different place than you were before... aren't you? You don't remember. In fact, you can't seem to recall many important things.
Where are you?
What are you doing here?
Who are you?
What's your name?
Were you asleep?
And why do you feel so strange?
There is much to discover, young wolf.
You've been given a second chance, through some error in the universe. You're trapped in a new world, where, by a happy mistake, creatures may live again.
You're a fortunate soul.
FADE is a semi-realistic wolf RP. We accept any interested roleplayers, beginner to advanced. Players must be willing to write at a semi-literate level (complete sentences and no chatspeak!) but there is no word count or paragraph requirement!
We encourage creativity! Artists and writers can be awarded positions in the FADE team! We discourage generic pictures from sites like Google Images and Photobucket. I hope to possibly have character lineart that players can color to look like their character, or even possibly have the game's artists draw everyone's characters when they're accepted!
Though FADE is under construction, we're looking for staff. Think you have artistic skills to offer? Want to help shape the plot? Interested in making a website? Just want to know what's going on? Well, please apply here! Even if you're not interested in being a staff member, your ideas are genuinely appreciated!
If everyone is active enough, there's a chance that we could make FADE into a website.
You're a wolf. And you're dead.
Or, you should be, at least.
One way or another, you seem to have been resurrected. When you awaken, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere. Not even the nowhere that you're familiar with. This nowhere is somehow more distant, more desolate than your nowhere.
But the strange thing is, you don't even remember your nowhere. You don't remember your anywhere. You don't remember your anything. Your name, your friends, your habits and your family are like a dream that you had recently, but have already forgotten, though it feels so familiar.
It's all very stressful.
But now you're here in this unfamiliar nowhere, and the birds are chirping and you can smell prey far off to the west, and you can see the old, faint tracks of another wolf, one who is probably having the same problems as you. And it's eerily peaceful out here.
But the problem isn't going away. Why does everything feel like déjà vu?
Will you try to uncover your past, or create a new past for yourself?
The choice is yours.
Your character wakes up in this world, not knowing who they are or what they're doing here. They have died in some way and ended up here.
Every wolf has an odd marking in their fur somewhere, symbolizing the wound that killed them. They sometimes develop a phobia of whatever killed them, and they may have nightmares about it that are promptly forgotten when they wake up.
None of them know how they died and they will likely never find out. All they can do is go back to being wolves: hunting, traveling, forming packs.
Outside of the guidelines, the plot of FADE is highly adaptable and each character has its own story. Go wild!
